The correct version for each application

Vpad offers immense benefits through its expansion capacity: For example, the SN version can be extended bit by bit with extra components, such as a modem or up to two joysticks. And not only the Vpad hardware, but also its software, is structured in modules, which means the entire system can be extended as required.

      Ergonomic…

      The easy recording and control of complex processes – that is the strength of the ergonomically designed Vpad. Operating elements matched optimally to the controlled functions allow intuitive control, without breaking eye contact e.g. in traffic. Logically designed displays and large, illuminated keys also generate maximum operating safety even in difficult situations. The keys for setting the spreading width and pattern, which have been specially matched to the spreading system control unit, are a particular feature. With these keys, the complete spreading pattern can for the first time be moved completely to the left or to the right without looking at the keys, in a single operation and without changing the other parameters.

      In addition to its internal control tasks, Vpad plays a key role in ”Surface Condition Management“ (SCM). It collects all defined input data and communicates online, e.g. via GSM, SMS, GPRS, operator radio or WLAN with the maintenance center, from which it is continuously fed with the latest data from the BORRMA- web software. Mobile de-icing systems, which are fitted with Vpad, can therefore be used much more effectively in conjunction with SCM.

      Particular emphasis was placed during Vpad's development on compatibility and flexibility, both with modular housings, which can be adapted to local conditions and equipment options, andwith the electronic interfaces and data transfer technologies, which reach all the way to WLAN. Internally, Vpad is highly responsive, with state of the art electronics using 32-bit engineering and a real time operating system.
